Earlier this week, former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s gun control group “Everytown for Gun Safety” setup a Minnesota state Political Action Committee.
With his flag planted in Minnesota, Bloomberg can now spend millions of dollars in advertising, mailings, phone bankings, and contributions to anti-gun candidates throughout Minnesota.
Setting up shop this close to the election means that his new Minnesota PAC will be able to spend under the radar right up until the election – making it very difficult to counter their moves.
But, we live here. We know where to focus and what messages will resonate with the voters.
They don’t.
As the Minnesota Gun Owners PAC, we’re going to double down on targeted ad buys throughout the state in key districts to ensure that we’re protecting vulnerable pro-gun candidates and putting pressure on the anti-gunners in swing districts. We’ll be unveiling those ads starting this weekend.
