Chairman’s Corner: How to spot a Gun Grabber
Elections are the job interviews of the political world. Most of us have been through multiple interviews in our own lives.
Time to confess…I’ve certainly twisted words in interviews to paint myself in the best possible light, and I’m sure most of you have as well.
The danger of that in politics is that we depend on the personal convictions of our legislators to guide them in making decisions that affect our lives.
As voters, we need to be good hiring managers and cut through the rhetoric and half-truths when we get the chance to talk to a candidate.
As a PAC, we’re fortunate to usually have an hour or more to privately interview a candidate directly on their Second Amendment views, but most voters may only have time for a question or two in a public setting.
