In Washington, DC, the anti-gun group Everytown for Gunsense will issue recommendations calling for “clarification” of the Federal Gun-Free Zone Act. What they really want is to have the federal government declare that no one may own or possess a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school – with or without a permit.
In Minneapolis, former Mayor R.T. Rybak is calling for new, strict gun control measures.
Even allegedly “pro-gun” candidate Bernie Sanders is now calling for an assault weapons ban and new restrictions on law-abiding gun owners.
And, of course, Rochester Rep. Kim Norton (DFL-25B) is calling for licensing of gun owners, registration of all firearms, and a host of other, undefined restrictions.
